Meet Dakota and Jenny Shafer, the owners of Structure Real Estate Group and G.J. Gardner Homes Colorado Springs. An opportunity came up in November of 2020 for the Shafers to become owners of the Colorado Springs franchise of G.J. Gardner Homes, custom home builders.

Dakota started designing homes and selling for G.J. Gardner 10 years ago and Jenny has handled marketing since 2016. The couple has always loved what the G.J. Gardner brand stands for and are excited to offer high quality builds in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. Dakota has been in homebuilding his whole life, supervising the building process for hundreds of homes. He has a bachelor's degree in Construction Management with a minor in Architecture. He transitioned into home sales in 2002 and was the area manager for the largest homebuilder in the world at that time. This experience has given him a vast knowledge of construction and design, as well as sales and marketing.  Dakota has also served on numerous HOA boards, which has given him valuable experience in subdivision operations. In 2009, he began designing and selling with G.J. Gardner Homes in Falcon.
Dakota is also a local expert in purchasing land. When clients are seeking the right lot to place their custom home, he is their advocate in navigating everything from soils testing to water rights. Having a builder who also understands the ins and outs of land acquisition is an extra value he can provide his clients. If the clients already own their land, he assists them in optimizing square footage and property placement. For both he and Jenny, helping people and ensuring that the largest purchase of their lives is an exciting and positive experience is incredibly rewarding.
